CM Invites PM Modi to Telangana Rising Global Summit

UJJI NEWS (DEC. 03) : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has extended a special invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the prestigious Telangana Rising Global Summit, scheduled to be held on December 8 and 9.

The Chief Minister, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, met the Prime Minister at his office in the Parliament House, New Delhi. During the meeting, they presented a specially printed invitation for the summit, which will take place at Bharat Future City.

The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister that Telangana has prepared the ‘Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document’ in alignment with the Union Government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 goals. He explained that Telangana aims to grow into a 3-trillion-dollar economy by 2047, contributing significantly to India’s economic progress. This roadmap was developed after extensive consultations with experts, specialists, and NITI Aayog advisors.

Revanth Reddy sought the Centre’s cooperation in achieving the objectives of Telangana Rising. He urged the Prime Minister to extend full support to the state’s developmental programmes.

The Chief Minister requested approval for the Phase 2 expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, covering 162.5 km, with an estimated cost of ₹43,848 crore. He proposed that the project be taken up as a joint venture between the Centre and the State.

He also appealed for Cabinet approval and financial clearance for the northern section of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR), and for granting permissions to begin construction of the southern section. Additionally, he requested swift action on the proposed Regional Ring Rail (RRR Rail) project along the Ring Road corridor.

Among the major proposals presented was the development of a 12-lane Greenfield Express Highway connecting Hyderabad–Amaravati–Machilipatnam Port, as well as a Greenfield Expressway for the Hyderabad–Bengaluru High-Speed Corridor.

The Chief Minister further sought approval for the construction of a four-lane elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam through the Tiger Reserve, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for pilgrims traveling to the sacred temple town.
